1. How is a certification exam administered?
Each certification exam is a multiple-choice online exam. It is proctored online, and you must have a webcam. The proctor will monitor you for the duration of the exam.
2. Is the certification an open book exam?
No. You won’t be able to refer to any external materials during the exam.
3. Do I need to attend a training course before taking a certification exam?
Training is not required. However, we provide exam prep resources and other training courses to help you prepare for an exam. Each exam is designed to test your on-the-job experience.
4. Can Pure Skill be purchased through the website?
Each Associate exam costs $200. Each Professional and Specialist exam costs $300. Each Expert exam costs $400.
5. Does the certification expire?
Yes. Each IT professional certification is valid for three years.
6. How do I renew my certification?
Every three years, you will need to submit a renewal log charting that all continuing education requirements have been met.
7. What happens to my existing Pure Storage certifications?
If you’ve achieved your Pure Storage certification prior to November 1, 2022, the original validity period will be honored.
All certifications with a two year validity period will sunset on November 1, 2024.
